I found an internet.com article covering the binary release of JDK 1.3.1 by the FreeBSD Foundation and added an entry to java/press.sgml. I also cleaned up the formatting of the page, removing the table as it doesn't seem to add anything to the page (and makes rendering interesting on mobile or other browsers that don't handle tables too well). >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: Patch below: --- java_press.sgml.diff begins here --- --- press.sgml.orig Thu May 13 09:30:14 2004 +++ press.sgml Thu May 13 09:45:18 2004 @@ -6,15 +6,13 @@ ]> &header; - - - - -

I had tried to send in this PR about a week ago but bounced several times at the FreeBSD.org mail server complaining that it didn't want a message. Don't know if you want to update the file with the patch or just forget about press.sgml entirely. --=20 Linh Pham question@closedsrc.org Webmaster and FreeBSD Geek http://closedsrc.org Apprentice Manager Editor and Writer http://www.daemonnews.org C++ is to C, as lung cancer is to lung | There is always one more bug. --M9NhX3UHpAaciwkO Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFAqYExwhofDeWkDMIRAs0mAJ9jvdaokb2rYLUZGN+CXWcVNsmkiQCgiao/ htMhaAedgiIDRucTzgRvygg= =fpi8 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --M9NhX3UHpAaciwkO-- From: "Simon L. Yes, as I noted in the CVS log it hadn't been updated for 5 years. > I had tried to send in this PR about a week ago but bounced several > times at the FreeBSD.org mail server complaining that it didn't want a > message. Probably the spam filter being a bit over-zealous. > Don't know if you want to update the file with the patch or just forget > about press.sgml entirely. Since your patch adds a rather old story I think it's better just to keep the page removed. If, at some point in the future, there are some interesting stories perhaps it can be resurrected... if not I think it's better not to have out-of-date information on the web site. --=20 Simon L.
