Name: ARA 3.0.1 Client Updater Version: n/a Released: August 19, 1998 Requires: A PowerBook G3 Series and ARA 3.0. It is not supported on any other Macintosh, including the older PowerBook G3. The PowerBook G3 Series computers have a large white Apple logo near the middle of the top cover and the product label on the bottom of the PowerBook will list the following family number: M4753 Description: Updates ARA 3.0 to 3.0.1 on a PowerBook G3 Series computer. After a PowerBook G3 Series computer is brought out of sleep mode, it will not successfully connect to a remote access server using ARAP. The modem will dial and establish a connection but the connection never gets beyond the status message which states "Starting ARAP..." The connection will eventually time out with an alert. The connection attempt can also be terminated using the Cancel button. This only occurs on the PowerBook G3 Series computers after they have been put into sleep mode. Once the PowerBook has been put into sleep mode, it must be restarted in order to make ARAP connections. This problem does not occur with ARA 2.1. This software prevents this problem from occuring with ARA 3.0. Instructions: This software consists of a self-mounting Disk Copy compressed image (.smi) file. Download this software to your hard drive and then double-click it to use it. You do not need Disk Copy to access .smi files.
