The Namer 7.0 utility is posted to this folder for use with AppleTalk ImageWriters as the LaserWriter Utility 7.x cannot rename AppleTalk ImageWriter printers.  If you wish to rename a LaserWriter, please use the latest version of the LaserWriter Utility also posted here.

The Namer 7.0 READ ME

The Namer is an application program that you can use to name or rename a networked LaserWriter or ImageWriter printer. Only a network administrator or network support person should use this application. Users should not be able to use the Namer to randomly rename printers.

The Namer requires 80K of application space and can run on any Macintosh computer. To start the Namer, simply double-click the Namer icon.
