1. This disk contains five patches for DOOM 2. Three of the five will upgrade 
   version 1.666 or version 1.7 to version 1.7a. The other two of five will
   upgrade version 1.7a or version 1.8 to version 1.9 LATEST VERSION.
2. Copy the files on this disk to your DOOM 2 directory on your hard drive.
3. Depending on the date of the DOOM2.EXE and DOOM2.WAD files you already
   have on your hard drive you must use the appropriate patch files. To
   figure out the date just type DIR in the DOOM 2 directory.
4. Just type the name of the appropriate patch file and press Enter.
5. After the patch is completed the message "Batch file missing" may appear
   or an error ept message. Ignore it.

* Players using different versions cannot play a net or modem game together.
* CD ROM owners must install DOOM 2 on the hard drive for the patch to work.
