System Recommendations CorelCHART will run on computers that meet the minimum system requirements as defined on the package. However, CorelCHART requires a large amount of temporary space. At least 10MB is recommended . It is also recommended that a permanent swap file of at least 16 MB be used. If fractal fills are used, it will require a large amount of temporary space when saving the file. For information about optimizing these settings, refer to Fax on Demand document #1001. Slow Redrawing of the Screen To increase the redraw speed, ensure that Windows is optimized. Refer to Fax on Demand document #1001 for more information. TIP: If you find working with 3D charts too slow redrawing, click Display, Chart, and turn off all text options. When you have finished working with the chart, turn this option back on. Cannot Change Fonts or Text Size All text within a chart has been, autofitted by default. This means that the text will always fit proportional to the size of the chart itself. This applies to the column and row headers, numbers, and the legends. To turn this option off temporarily, click Display, Chart, and click the Autofitted option. The only type of chart this will not work with is Pie graphs. This information is permanently set to autofit and cannot be changed. Slow Printing Printing can take a long time, depending on the type of fills included. There are issues with printing to be aware of: Postscript Custom fountain fills may not print correctly. Canceling a print job will cause a General Protection Fault error to be generated. PCL Bitmap textures applied to 3D walls and risers will not print. Full color, and two colour patterns applied to 3D walls will not print. Selecting Fit to Page will correct this problem. Printing From the Data Manager When printing from the Data Manager, all the tag information, such as the boxes and colours that designate the title, etc. will print. Click Options, Display Chart Tags if you do not wish to print this information. If you want to print the data in color, click File, Print, Page Setup menu. Click Color. This is not selected by default, even if you have a color printer. This option is greyed out if you are printing to a black and white printer. OLE Objects The following issues exist with OLE objects: Ole objects will be filled with grey when inserted. Inserted objects from Microsoft PowerPoint will not display in CorelCHART.
