# 5001- CorelDRAW 5 Installation Tips Installing from CD-ROM If your system meets the minimum system requirements and you experiencing difficulties installing CorelDRAW 5, perform the following suggestions: Turn off all TSRs (Screen Savers, etc.) and virus scanners. Ensure that there is at least 3MB of extra available disk space on the destination drive. Change the video driver to standard VGA. Once the install is completed, return to the original settings. Note: If you try to install more than 100 fonts a warning message will appear. If you try to install 500 or more fonts the setup routine may fail, this is caused by insufficient memory. Note, that installing fonts uses excessive memory, and slows down normal operations that request information from the WIN.INI file. We recommend you install and use the FontMinder program that is included with CorelDRAW 5. Default Settings: The Avant Garde font will always install. All import and export filters are installed by default. All other fonts are disabled during the initial install. When selecting the TEMP path at the end of the installation, if more than one selection is made, CorelDRAW will first access the TEMP directory set in the AUTOEXEC.BAT. CorelDRAW will use the directory you select as a secondary destination. Supported Environments: Windows 95 Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11 Windows for Workgroups 3.1, Windows for Workgroups 3.11 Novell 3.11, Novell 3.12
