# 6004- Changing Default Settings Default settings for Artistic text, Paragraph text, Bullets and graphics are established by performing the follows steps: 1. Launch CorelDRAW™ 6. 2. Click Layout, Styles Manager. 3. Click the desired default object type from the list, e.g., Default Graphic, and right-click. 4. Click Properties. 5. From the various tabs, set the default attributes for the object, text, or bullet and click OK. 6. Click the flyout above the word "Hot-Key" and click Template. 7. Click Save as Default for New Documents. The above settings are now saved for all future sessions of CorelDRAW 6. To set defaults for technique preferences such as those listed below, make the desired changes and click Tools, Save Settings. CorelDRAW applies these settings to the current document, as well as the default settings for new CorelDRAW documents. The new default document uses the following settings from the current document: • Styles • Page Setup (including size, orientation, color, and borders) • View Settings (including Wireframe/Editable Preview mode, rulers, bitmaps) • Rulers, Grid, and Guidelines (including world distance settings) • Levels of Undo • Nudge and Duplicate settings • Display fountain fill steps • Extrude facet size • Certain text settings (Greek Text Below, frame formatting, non-printing character display) • Print range • Proofreading and Type Assist setting • Window appearance i.e. RollUps on screen, etc. The changes will be saved as defaults for all future CorelDRAW 6 work sessions.
