Type X:\SETUP (where X is the CD-ROM drive letter) and click OK. Q The installation froze near the end and now I cannot launch Corel PHOTO-PAINT 7 or use the File, Open, Save, Save As, or Import commands. How can I correct this? A Locate the CORELFLT.INI file in the CONFIG folder on CD-ROM #1. Using Windows Explorer, copy this file to the X:\COREL\CONFIG folder (where X:\ is the drive letter where CorelDRAW 7 was installed). Right-click on the file and disable the Read-only check box. Note: If issues persist, follow the instructions for a clean installation found earlier in this document. Q How can I avoid getting an Invalid Page Fault (IPF) when attempting to install the application? A To resolve this, follow the instructions for a clean installation found earlier in this document. Q I get error messages near the end of the installation saying that it cannot open some of the ".REG" files. I am running Windows NT 4.0. How can I resolve this? A There may be no need to abort the installation. Continue past the messages until the installation is complete. After the installation, launch the Windows NT Explorer and right- click on the \COREL\DRAW70 folder. Press F3. In the Named field of the Find dialog box, type *.REG. Ensure that Look In field displays the \COREL\DRAW70 folder, and click Find Now. When the search is complete, double-click each .REG file, and click OK to each message stating that the information has been successfully entered into the registry. Q I can't find my registration card, how can I find my serial number? A Look through all of the documentation that came with the package carefully. There should be a blue, black, and white registration card included with the software. The serial number is printed twice on this card once on the half you mail in, and once on the other half that you keep as your proof of purchase. Contact Customer Service if this number cannot be located. Q After installing CorelDRAW 7 my system fonts or fonts in other programs are all messed up. I did a full installation with everything selected. How can I fix this? A If you installed all of the fonts that are included with CorelDRAW 7 or the total font count on the system is over 600, refer to Fax On Demand document #2102. Q How can I correct errors reading the CD-ROM when installing CorelDRAW 7? A Ensure that you are using 32-bit Windows 95 drivers for your CD-ROM. Inspect the underside of the CD-ROM for fingerprints, dust, or scratches. If you find any dust or fingerprints, clean the CD-ROM with a CD-ROM cleaning kit, or wipe the CD-ROM with a soft, lint-free cloth from the center hub to the outer edge of the CD-ROM. Do not wipe in a circular motion. Q How do I perform a Network installation? A A Network Installation requires additional licences for the workstations that you will be installing the package to. Contact your local Corel Approved Reseller to purchase additional licences. These licenses will include full installation instructions. Q How can I eliminated problems using the online registration? A To avoid problems with connecting to your Internet Service Provider ( ISP) for Online Registration, launch the Dial-Up connection prior to selecting the online registration option. You can press CTRL, ESC to access the Start Menu at any time during the installation process. Q Do I have to install on top of my previous version of CorelDRAW? A No, do not install CorelDRAW 7 over top of any previous version of CorelDRAW. Ensure that you install it to an entirely different folder to ensure a successful installation. Q I keep getting a REGSVR32 error near the end of the installation. How can I avoid this? A Refer to Fax On Demand document #3408 for more information regarding this error message. Q After renaming my AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files, and rebooting, I no longer have access to my CD-ROM drive. How can I correct this? A You may be using the 16-bit real mode CD-ROM drivers. These normally load in your CONFIG.SYS file. We recommend that you use the 32-bit CD-ROM drivers. Contact your CD-ROM drive manufacturer to inquire about obtaining these drivers. Q I've waited 2 or 3 minutes after running the setup on my laptop computer and nothing is happening. What should I do? A On some Laptop computers, the setup may take up to 5 minutes to initialize. This issue is currently under review. Q I chose the Typical installation and I am missing some of the applications like Multimedia Manager, Corel Texture and Corel Depth. How can I install these applications? A These applications must be installed using the Custom install option. Q When I installed CorelDRAW 7, CD-ROM #1 was the only CD-ROM required. How do I install CD-ROM #2, and 3? A CD-ROM #2, and 3 do not install. They contain ClipArt, photos, sample files, brushes, etc, and are used in conjunction with the application modules.
