# 2832- Uninstalling Corel GALLERY™ 2 from Windows® 3.1X This document will outline the steps required to correctly remove Corel GALLERY™ 2 from a computer running Windows® 3.1X. Important Note: Before proceeding, it is important to make backup copies of the WIN.INI and REG.DAT files. These files are located in the WINDOWS directory. Refer to the Windows manual for instructions. Do not skip this step! 1. Delete the Corel GALLERY 2 group icon. To do this, click the icon, and click File, Delete. 2. Run REGEDIT.EXE to delete Corel file types. To do this, click File, Run, and Type REGEDIT on the Open command line. Delete the following entries by clicking the entry, and clicking Edit, Delete File Type: GALLERY ALBUM Note: Deleting these references will update the REG.DAT file, and modify the [Embedding] section of the WIN.INI. 3. Make the following modifications to the WIN.INI file. Delete these lines from the following sections: [EXTENSIONS] GAL=C:\GALLERY2\PROGRAMS\CORELGAL.EXE ^.GAL CFM=C:\GALLERY2\FMASTER\CORELFM.EXE ^.CFM TTF=C:\GALLERY2\FMASTER\CORELFM.EXE ^.TTF Delete this section: [CORELGALLERY2] DIR=C:\GALLERY2\CONFIG 4. Using File Manager delete the \GALLERY2 directory and all associated subdirectories. 5. If you wish to remove the Corel fonts, use the Fonts icon in the Windows Control Panel to delete the CorelDRAW True Type fonts. Refer to the Windows documentation or online Help in the Fonts menu for instructions on deleting the fonts from the WIN.INI font list and the hard drive. Note: Ensure the fonts you remove are Corel GALLERY 2 fonts and are not required by any other program. The manual, provides a complete listing of all the fonts included with the application. 6. Restart the computer.
