This document outlines instructions for viewing, copy/pasting, dragging and dropping, and exporting Corel GALLERY™ Magic clipart. Before accessing the clipart, ensure that Corel GALLERY Magic has been correctly installed. Refer to the Quickstart manual for details about installation. Selecting and viewing a Clipart Thumbnail Image To open the clipart, perform the following steps: 1. Double-click the Corel GALLERY Magic Wizard icon to launch the application, and click NEXT. 2. Click CLIPART, and click NEXT. 3. Select a clipart category from the list, and click NEXT. 4. Insert the CD-ROM that contains the clipart image, and click OK. 5. Click the desired clipart thumbnail from the subalbum. There are three ways to place the image into a document, copy/paste, import/export, or drag and drop. The selected thumbnail image, can also be viewed in the Corel GALLERY 2 mini-editor. Viewing an Image using the Gallery Magic Mini Editor 1. After selecting the thumbnail image from the subalbum, press SHIFT and double-click the image. This will launch the mini-editor and allow for a larger view of the thumbnail image. Or 2. Double-click the thumbnail image, and an associated application will launch. The only applications that can be successfully associated with Corel GALLERY Magic are those which support the *.CMX file filter, i.e. CorelDRAW™. Note: By clicking File, Preferences, Editors, it is possible to control the method by which the editors and associated applications are launched. Copy And Pasting 1. Click the desired thumbnail image from the album. 2. To copy and paste the clipart, click Edit, Copy. 3. Open the target application, and click Edit, Paste. Note: When closing Corel GALLERY Magic, a message will be generated asking if you wish to leave the data on the clipboard. If Yes is chosen, you will be able to paste the same piece of clipart multiple times in any application, until the image is cleared from the clipboard. Exporting And Importing 1. With the clipart thumbnail selected, click File, Export. 2. Click an export filter from the List Files of Type list box. Make sure to choose a file format supported by the target application. 3. Type a filename, and chose a folder to export to. 4. Click OK, and exit Corel GALLERY Magic. 5. Import the clipart into the target application. Refer to the target application's documentation or online Help for more detailed information about importing. Drag And Dropping This method is only available if the target application is an OLE 2.0 client. Refer to the documentation or to the vendor of the target application to determine if it is OLE 2.0 compliant. 1. Open the target application, and use ALT + TAB in Windows 3.1X, or the Taskbar in Windows 95 to switch to Corel GALLERY Magic. 2. If both applications are not visible on screen, tile them on the screen, or resize the windows to fit. 3. Drag the desired Corel GALLERY Magic thumbnail image to the target application.
