There are over 25,000 Clipart images and symbols in CorelDRAW 6 for MacIntosh . Importing is the primary method of accessing the Clipart in all CorelDRAW 6 for MacIntosh products for use within a document. This tutorial will outline the steps required to search for and import a specific Clipart image from the Clipart manual. Importing Clipart and Quickart Search for the Clipart image FBALL122 , found on page B265 of the Clipart manual 1. Insert the CorelDRAW 6 for MacIntosh 6 CD-ROM #3. 2. Click File, Import. 3. In the Format list box, click Corel Presentation Exchange 5.0, (CMX). 4. Click Desktop, and double-click the CD-ROM drive letter. Double-click the Clipart folder. 5. A list of Clipart categories will appear in the import window. To determine which category is associated with FBALL122, turn to page B265 in the Clipart Manual. The top right hand corner of each page displays a category name or path. In this case, the category is ...\SPORTS. 6. Double-click the SPORTS folder, and double-click FBALL122. The image will automatically be imported into the document. Note: The procedure for importing the Quickart from CD-ROM#2 is the same. Click WordPerfect Graphic (WPG) in the format list box instead of Corel Presentation Exchange 5.0, (CMX). Accessing Symbols Symbols are located on pages K83-90 of the Clipart Manual , and are referenced in the same manner as the Clipart, but are not opened or imported into a document. Note: The CorelDRAW 6 for MacIntosh symbols can be accessed directly from CorelDRAW 6 for MacIntosh provided that all of the symbols have been previously installed. If all of the symbols are not available to you, install the symbols in the same manner you would install True Type fonts. The symbols are located on CD-ROM #1 in the FONTS\TRUE TYPE FONTS\SYMBOLS folder. To access a Symbol: 1. Click Tools, Symbols, or click on the Star icon on the ribbon bar. 2. The Symbols RollUp will appear. Locate the appropriate category for the desired symbol in the list box. 3. From the Clipart manual, locate the Symbol number and type it in the # list box. The chosen symbol will be highlighted. 4. Drag the symbol onto the document. Templates The Templates are referenced in section D of the Clipart manual, and are located on CD-ROM #1 in the DRAW\TEMPLATE folder. To access a Template, click File, Open and click CorelDRAW Template (*.CDT) in the List Files of Type list box, or click File, New, From Template and enable the With Contents check box. Photos and Bitmaps Photos and Bitmaps are referenced in sections E and F of the Clipart manual, and are located on CD-ROM #2 in the following in folders: PHOTOS, BITMAP CLIPART, BITMAP OBJECTS, BITMAP TILES. To access them, click File, Import and click JPEG Bitmaps (JPG) for Photos, Bitmap Objects, and Bitmap Tiles and TIFF Bitmaps (TIF) for all other bitmaps, in the List files of Type list box.. Refer to the Clipart manual to properly associate the desired image to its respective category. Fills The Fills are bitmap patterns that can be used to fill objects or can be imported on their own. They import as rectangular objects. The Fills are found in the BITMAP TILES folder on CD-ROM #2. To access them: 1. Click the object to be filled with the Pick tool. 2. Click and hold the Fill tool to access the flyout menu. 3. Click Full Color Bitmap, and click Import 4. Click Desktop and double-click the BITMAP TILES folder. 5. In the Format list box, click JPEG bitmap (JPG), and click Import. 6. Click OK . Corel Textures Corel Textures are accessed using CorelTEXTURE . In CorelTEXTURE click File, Open. Click Desktop, and double-click CORELDRAW 6 SUITE, COREL, CORELTEXTURE, GALLERY. Click a category, a subcategory, and a Texture, and click Open. 3D Models 3D Models are referenced in section I of the Clipart manual, and are located on CD-ROM #2 in the DREAM 3DMODELS folder. The 3D Models can only be accessed in CorelDREAM 3D. Refer to the online Help in CorelDREAM 3D, or the CorelDREAM 3D tutorial on page E11 of the manual, for instructions about rendering a scene. Once the file is saved as a bitmap image it can be imported into CorelDRAW 6 for MacIntosh .
