# 4651- Accessing Clipart in Corel Print House™ for Macintosh® This document contains information about viewing, accessing and using Corel clipart and photos in Corel Print House™ for Macintosh®. Note: Before accessing the clipart and photos, ensure Corel Print House for Macintosh is properly installed and the Corel Print House for Macintosh CD-ROM drive. Accessing Clipart and Photos in Corel Print House for Macintosh Note: Photos are accessed and viewed in the same manner as clipart. 1. Insert the Corel Print House for Macintosh CD-ROM, and launch Corel Print House for Macintosh. 2. If the Create Wizard dialog box opens, click the Key, and click Cancel. 3. On the Notebook, click Add Things. (To return to this Notebook menu, click the gold key.) 4. Click Catalog. 5. Click Clipart, (for photos, click the Photos category.) 6. Click the desired category, and click OK. 7. Use the scroll bar to view the complete contents of that clipart category. 8. Click the clipart image, and drag it onto the page. Note: If you create a document using the wizard method, you can import additional clipart and photos, by clicking Add Things. Importing Clipart and Photos into Corel Print House for Macintosh 1. Open a blank document, start from scratch or an existing project. 2. Click File, Import. 3. Double-click the folder where the clipart file is stored. For example, DESKTOP/ OREL PRINT HOUSE/CLIPART/ANIMALS/PETS/APRICOTM.CMX. 4. Change the format in the Format list box, to reflect the appropriate file type . 5. Click Import. Importing Clipart and Photos from other applications into Corel Print House for Macintosh Corel Print House for Macintosh can import the following file formats: • Adobe Photoshop (PSD) 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 • ACSII Text, CompuServe Bitmap (GIF) • Corel Presentation Exchange (CMX) ver 5.0 and 6.0 • JPEG Bitmap (JPG) • Kodak Photo CD Images (PCD) • Macintosh PICT • TIFF Bitmap(TIF) • Windows Bitmap (BMP) To import clipart or photos from other applications, follow the steps as listed in the previous procedure. Using Corel Print House for Macintosh Clipart and Photos in other applications In order to use clipart and photos from Corel Print House for Macintosh in another application, it is necessary to save the file in a file format that the other application recognizes and understands. For more information, consult the target application documentation on supported file format import capabilities. To Save the clipart and photo images for other applications: 1. Open a blank Corel Print House for Macintosh document. 2. Drag the desired clipart or photo image onto the document. 3. Click File, Save As. 4. Click the destination location; In the Save File As list box: name this document. In the Format list box: accept the default, or click the down arrow key, and choose one of the listed file formats. Enable the Selected Only check box. 5. Click Save. You may get another dialog box depending on the file format. Click Help in the dialog box for additional information.
