This document contains information on how to view, access and use clipart & photos in Corel Photo House and other applications. Note: Before accessing the clipart & photos, ensure Corel Print & Photo House is correctly installed and the CD-ROM is in the drive. Accessing and Viewing Photos 1. Insert the Corel Print & Photo House CD-ROM, and launch Corel Photo House. 2. On the Notebook, click Open a Library Image. If you wish to return to this Notebook, click the gold key on the toolbar. 3. Click the desired category, and click OK. Use the vertical scroll bar to view the complete contents of that category. 4. Click and drag the Photo onto the page. Instead of dragging the image, you can also double- click the thumbnail, or right-click the thumbnail and, click SELECT. This will automatically create a new document. Importing Photos 1. Open a blank document or an existing project. 2. On the notebook click Open an Image. 3. In the Look In list box, click the drive and folder location where the photo is stored, i.e.; D:\CLIPART\ANIMALS\BEAR.CMX 4. By default, All Files will be selected. Change this to reflect the appropriate file type, and enable the Preview check box. 5. Click the desired file, and click Open. 6. If an additional dialog box opens, click Help for more information. Using Corel Photo House Images in Other Applications Corel Photo House is not fully OLE 2 compliant. Therefore, it is not always possible, to copy and paste images from Corel Photo House into other applications. In order to use clipart and photos from Corel Photo House in other applications, you must save the file in a file format that the other application recognizes. For more information, consult the target application's documentation. To Export Photo Images: 1. Open a blank Corel Photo House document. 2. Drag the desired clipart or photo onto the document. 3. Click File, Save As. 4. Click the drive and folder to Save the project in. By default, the \PRINT & PHOTOHOUSE\MY PROJECTS folder is selected. 5. Type a file name and choose an export file format. Note: Save the file in a format the other application will be able to read. If you are unsure as to what format will work, try using Windows Bitmap (BMP) or Windows Metafile (WMF). 6. Click Save. Click Help for additional information if another dialog box opens. 7. From the target application, import, open or insert this file. Consult the target application's documentation for further instructions about inserting files. Transfering Images to Corel Print House. 1. Click the images you wish to copy. 2. Click Edit, Copy. 3. Open Corel Print House. 4. Click File, New from Clipboard.
