This patch will update both Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 and Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 Professional to Program Release 8.0.0.611. Corel Quattro Pro will be updated to Program Release 8.0.0.611. Corel Presentations will be updated to Program Release 8.0.0.611. PerfectFit will be updated to 8.0.0.611. Please see the Patch Notes section if you receive an error message when installing this patch.

NOTE: If you are updating a local installation, please disregard. To update a NetWare server installation, first have everybody exit Corel WordPerfect Suite 8. Next use UNC's to point to the Appman\Profile directory to avoid file update problems.
Please note that we acknowledge this patch excludes fixes that are related to.

  1. Added ability to use QuickCorrect to override format-as-you-go to handle two irregular caps at start of word.
  2. Corrected problem adding misspelled words to Grammatik.
  3. Corrected IPF problem if a Toolbar button did no have a name or QuickTip.
  4. Changed footnote references from text in table cells that span pages to act as it does in parallel columns (convert to endnote).
  5. Addressed a problem with QuickMarks not being included when selecting text.
  6. Document review now does show strikeout when pressing Ctrl+backspace to delete words.

  8. Corrected a problem with the File | Send To | Floppy option.

  1. An extra character is no longer inserted when pasting from the clipboard into a new message.

COREL QUATTRO PRO
  1. Modified the @vhlookup function to allow it to search for an exact match and not need ascending order.

ODMA
  1. Corrected problem with Teamlinks dialog appears twice when closing the summary dialog.
  2. Corrected the "Hyperlink not found" problem after modifying a document.

Please note that this patch will install only on the Program Release 8.0.0.225 or higher. To determine if you are using another version, in WordPerfect, click Help | About Corel WordPerfect. If the Program Release is not 8.0.0.225 or higher, please contact our Orders Center at (800)77-COREL to obtain an updated version of Corel WordPerfect Suite 8. Please note that only shipping and handling charges will apply.

If you are updating the Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 Legal Edition (Program Release 8.0.0.471 or 8.0.0.485) this patch will update the Program Release of Corel WordPerfect 8 to 8.0.0.610.

Please note that this patch includes fixes that were made in previous Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 Service Packs. The fixes from the previous Service Packs are listed below:

COREL WORDPERFECT
  1. Microsoft Office 97 filters for Word and Excel files are now available.
  2. Improvements have been made to the process of editing the default template.
  3. Font conversions have been improved for importing WP8 documents to other formats.
  4. Custom paper definitions you create with the location set to manual feed will now print properly.
  5. Font matching has been improved.
  6. Some damaged Corel WordPerfect documents caused Corel WordPerfect to IPF in PFT80.DLL when printed. This has been corrected.
  7. A document that had a line of spaces in a table cell would lock the print engine when printed. This has been corrected.
  8. Template macros now save properly.
  9. Tables with text boxes in header rows no longer corrupt files when saved to a floppy or opened on another machine.
  10. Problems encountered when you saved ASCII files that were opened from the command line have been addressed.

  4. When you saved selected text with ODMA software integration, Corel WordPerfect 8 would use the document name as the default for saving the selected text. This has been corrected.
  5. The process for closing profiled documents has been improved.
  6. Fixed message you received when opening the same profiled document twice.
  7. Fixed /ddeex startup switch on command line.
  8. File | Save problems on some ODMA systems have been addressed.
  9. The process of saving converted documents has been improved.
  10. Addressed isolated errors playing macros.
  11. Addressed problems removing passwords from previously saved documents.
  12. Addresses focus problems with the Document Management System.
  13. Addresses focus problems when selecting the Browse button with the DMS loaded.

  3. Product stability while you are editing links has been improved.
  4. The process of inserting columns or rows with contiguous multiple joined cells has been improved.
  5. @Subtotal and @Total now correctly ignore hidden rows.
  6. IPFs with Version Control have been corrected.
  7. IPFs that occurred when you deleted columns where horizontal and vertical joined cells met have been corrected.
  8. QuickFilter Macro IPFs have been corrected.
  9. IPFs with Cell Reference Checker have been corrected.
  10. Problems encountered when you evaluated formulas similar to @ARRAY(@MINVERSE({2,1,0 | 0.5,1,-0.5 | 3,2,1})) have been corrected.
  11. When you selected different blocks, the Print dialog would not always update correctly. This problem has been corrected.
  12. Improvements have been made to the @XIRR function.
  13. Fixed problems dragging a page containing a QuickFilter to a new notebook.
  14. Addressed problems where horizontal scroll bar covered text.
  15. Fixed scrolling problems when dragging and dropping from one sheet to another.
  16. Added a Reveal option on the QuickMenu to show hidden rows or columns.
  17. Addresses possible error messages opening or closing the program.
  18. Addresses problem placing cursor over circular reference message on status bar.
  19. Users can now use the space bar to insert blank cells.
  20. Improvements have been made Print Preview button with selected text.
  21. Improvements have been made to the Database Expert when using multiple tables.

COREL PRESENTATIONS
  1. ATM fonts now show in Corel Presentations 8.
  2. Fixed sizing problems in the Print Status dialog.

SGML
  1. Problems finding text within SGML tags have been resolved.
  2. Problems finding some Elements within DTDs have been resolved.
  3. Errors when using external parameter entities with no PUBLIC identifier have been resolved.
  4. Errors when opening SGML files that contained a DTD at the beginning have been resolved.
  5. Errors when cross referencing some SGML files have been resolved.
  6. 8-bit characters in comment declarations would be taken from the comment and placed in the document when imported. This has been resolved.
  7. EMPTY, CDATA, RCDATA elements could generate errors when compiling a DTD. This has been resolved.
  8. The following error could occur when using extended or WordPerfect characters in the Edit Attribute dialog: "WordPerfect character in attribute value has no mapping." This has been resolved.
  9. The File | Exit menu for DTD Compiler was translated incorrectly in some cases.
  10. Addresses problems with the layout designer.
