Alternate Hyphenation Algorithms - #4202

            Corel VENTURA 4.2 includes alternate hyphenation
            algorithms for several languages. By providing the
            ability to load and apply two different hyphenation
            algorithms, Corel VENTURA allows you to produce
            multi-lingual documents while maintaining the correct
            hyphenation for each language.

            The following table lists the languages for which
            alternate hyphenation algorithms have been supplied and
            the file name associated with each language.

            To install an alternate hyphenation algorithm simply copy
            the corresponding files from the program diskettes to the
            CORELVP directory. Use the EXPAND command from the DOS
            prompt to uncompress the file, then rename the file with
            the appropriate extension as per the above list. To
            perform all of these functions in one command, follow the
            example format below:

            [drive]:\ALTHYPH\EXPAND SVENSK.WH_
            [drive]:\COREL40\CORELVP\SVENSK.WH2

            These files are located in the ALTHYPH directory of the
            Corel VENTURA Utilities disk, on the U.S. version this is
            found on: 3 ½ format - disk #7; CD format disk #1. The
            location may vary depending on the language version.

            Note: Files from the CD do not need to be uncompressed
            nor renamed.

            The extension of the hyphenation algorithm determines its
            order in the Hyphenation option of the Alignment dialog
            box. An algorithm with the extension .WH1 will appear
            first in the Hyphenation option list and the extension
            .WH2 will appear second. Simply rename the extensions to
            change the order in which the algorithms appear in the
            Hyphenation option.

            How a particular paragraph is hyphenated is dependent on
            the algorithm applied to the tag used. Since hyphenation
            of text is accomplished when the chapter is opened,
            changing the algorithm applied to a tag will not alter
            the hyphenation points until the chapter is saved and
            re-opened.

            Note: Only one file with the .WH1 extension and one file
            with the .WH2 extension should appear in the CORELVP
            directory at any time.
