# 5509- Panose Font Matching The default font assigned to the DEFAULT.STY stylesheet is Times a device font. This stylesheet is used to create the UNTITLED.STY. When launching Corel VENTURA 5, you may receive a Panose Font Matching message indicating that the Times font could not be found. To resolve this, perform one of the following methods: Method 1 The Times font is a standard device font found in PostScript printers. If you do not have a PostScript printer setup as default, this message will occur. In Control Panel, choose a PostScript printer as the default and restart Corel VENTURA. Method 2 Ensure that Show Only True Type Fonts, is not enabled in the Control Panel. To do this, open Control Panel, and double-click the Fonts icon. Click True Type, and disable the Show Only True Type Fonts in Applications check box. Restart Corel VENTURA. If you do not have a PostScript printer to enable, change the default font for the DEFAULT.STY. To do this, perform the following steps: 1. Backup the DEFAULT.STY, found in the COREL50\VENTURA\TYPESET directory. Note: Paths may differ. 2. Launch Corel VENTURA 5, anc click Layout. 3. Load the DEFAULT.STY stylesheet, and edit each tag so they are assigned a different default font, for example Times New Roman. 4. Save DEFAULT.STY.
