* APAR DESCRIPTION: 
* CSAIX: backlevel CPI-C library is missing xcssb
*
* ERROR DESCRIPTION:
* After migrating from CS/AIX V4 (3.1.x.x) to CS/AIX V6.1, a TP
* (transaction program) fails with the following error:
* exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program fepsna because of the 
* following errors: 
* 0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for fepsna because:           
* 0509-136 Symbol xcssb (number 42) is not exported from dependent
* module /usr/lib/libcpic.a(shr.o).
* 0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the 'dump -Tv'
* command.
*
* PROBLEM SUMMARY:
*   USERS AFFECTED: All
*
*   PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
*   The command "dump -Tv /usr/lib/libcpic.a" on a CS/AIX V4 system
*   shows xcssb is defined but on a CS/AIX V6.1 system does not. This
*   verb is documented only in the CS/AIX V4 manuals, so it should be
*   present but only on the back-level CPI-C API.
*
*   PROBLEM SUMMARY:
*   There was code for xcssb in the back level CPI-C library however
*   the symbol was not exported correctly when it was linked.
*
* PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
* The linking of the backlevel CPI-C library has been corrected to 
* export the xcssb symbol.
*

*   iy46753.tar.Z ("this fix" in the steps below) is a compressed tar archive
*   file containing the updated modules and this readme.

*   To install this fix:

**   Downloading the file:
*      
*      1) Be SURE to download this fix in BINARY format.
*
*      2) Check the output of sum against the updated module after
*         uncompressing and untarring this fix.  You should see:
*
*         32953   714 libcpic.a
*
*      3) Make sure that you have backed up your system recently.
*
*      4) Make sure that you have copies of your configuration files saved
*         (the /etc/sna directory contents).
*
*      5) Stop SNA and proceed to the next step
*         
*         sna stop
*
*  (IMPORTANT) - Be sure that SNA is stopped.  Please issue:
*
*         ps -ef | grep sna*
* 
*        If a sna* process exists, use the kill command on the process.
*	 It is also recommended that, if possible you take down any 
*	 applications that may try to access CS/AIX.
*
*      6) Backup your previous versions of the modules listed in this readme
*         by renaming them.
*
*         mv /usr/lib/libcpic.a /usr/lib/libcpic.a.original
*
*      7) Copy this efix's updated module into its/their place(s).

*         cp libcpic.a /usr/lib/

*      8) Restart Communications Server for AIX
