PTF U453804 = Fixes contained in this ptf. Fixed in MAT: 1. Rpimserv dying and restarting while scanning slots. 2. RABM device collected on the Nways Device submap. 3. When the wrong community name is used while attempting to access an 8281 or 8285 device, communication with all PSM supported devices is lost. 4. PSM Submap should be changed to Nways Device Management map. 5. Fault status propagation to Nways Device Management map does not occur. 6. No community name integration with NetView snmp config. 7. Added automatic Nways Device Mgmt Map refresh and creation of all Nways managed devices when NetView EUI started. This function can take several minutes to complete. If the user wants to disable this function append -NO_SYNC_AT_START to the Rnvgate line in the /usr/lpp/mgtapptran/bin/ed.conf file. (For example: Rnvgate -NO_SYNC_AT_START) 8. 8230 not collected on Nways Device Submap (PSM subsystem submap). 9. When exiting NetView, MAT processes are sometimes orphaned. Fixed in cmld: 1. cmld core dumps at startup after too many Nways components were installed. Fixed in Java Management: 1. When opening a Java managed device, the Set community name in the NetView SNMP configuration is set to the same value as the Read community name. Fixed in iubd: 1. Wrong display of 622 modules in 8265. In an 8265, it is possible that 622 modules are displayed either as g module or as another module different from a 622 module. Fixed in iubinvd: 1. When using the locate function, it fails with a "Connection lost with server" message and then iubinvd core dumps. Fixed in all psms: 1. If Netview is ended while the psm picture is still being displayed, the psm may core dump. Fixed in the 8235 psm: 1. Dial-in sessions are not logged in the 8235 activity log if the user name contains a blank character. 2. The 8235 activity log contains duplicate entries if more than one instance of the psm is running on an AIX machine. (see readme for additional steps to take after installing this PTF) Fixed in RABM: 1. Various ObjectStore problems (especially with AIX 4.1.5 and above) that sometimes cause the seeding of the RABM databases and the configuration of MLM's to be incomplete. The result is missing thresholds on an MLM and not being able to retrieve threshold data using the RABM Analyzer function. 2. Various problems when running on a system with AIX 4.2.1 including seed create errors. 3. Help panels do not display. 4. Can't edit threshold definitions from RABM EUI. The msg "server did not respond within the timeout period" is displayed). 5. "Channel already registered" error message fills the nettl log file causing poor performance.
