For Component Broker release 2.0, java clients should be installed using the CBConnector Clients compact disc. If a java client is installed via the Custom Install option available on the CBConnector for Windows NT compact disc, the install fails to install all the required files and fails to update the environment and registry.  This tool will update the SSL Java Client registry entry for Component Broker. You should only use this tool after carefully reading this entire readme. It is just one of the steps required to recover from this situation.

The preferred way to fix this would be to uninstall Component Broker, which includes the java client, then reinstall the Component Broker Java Client from the CBConnector Clients compact disc. If uninstalling Component Broker is not feasible, then follow the steps below:

  1. Reinstall the Component Broker Java Client from the CBConnector Clients compact disc. This will install the missing files.
  2. Update the system CLASSPATH. Here are the steps to update the CLASSPATH:
  3. Reboot the system so that CLASSPATH expands properly.
  4. Update the registry using the javaclnt.reg registry tool.   On a command prompt, enter: javaclnt.reg
