Welcome to the DB2 UDB FixPak!

To unzip the FixPak on your hard drive, be sure to use the -d option.
For example, to unzip wr21200.zip in to a directory called c:\db2fix,
type:

pkunzip -d wr21200.zip c:\db2fix

Once this is done, follow the installation instructions in the readme.


*** After you have installed this FixPak, you will have to replace the
    message files.

Download the file "winmsg1.zip"

The "winmsg1.zip" file has the following structure.

<LOCALE>\*.mo
<LOCALE>\oem\*.mo

1. Unzip the file "winmsg1.zip" to a temporary directory with pkunzip.exe 
   (available for download on the FTP site), or Winzip.
2. Copy the files <LOCALE>\*.mo to <SQLLIB>\msg\prime, where <LOCALE> is the 
   language of the DB2 instance, and <SQLLIB> is where DB2 is installed.
3. Copy the files <LOCALE>\oem\*.mo to <SQLLIB>\msg\<LOCALE>.
4. Restart the machine to take effect of the new files.

* Note:
There is no oem directory for the double bytes, i.e. Japanese, Korean, 
Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.  For these languages, the 
message files are copied to <SQLLIB>\msg\prime only.
