A coordinated panel can be created by providing the implementation
of the CoordinatedPanel interface in a JPanel, and this technique may be used
with any data model. Complete the following steps:
- Create a Java(TM) class that inherits from JPanel.
- Implement the CoordinatedPanel Interface in the class. Each
coordinated panel object must fire CoordinationEvents to the NavigationController,
and will listen to all CoordinationEvents from its own toolkit components.
The CoordinatedPanel interface extends the CoordinatedEventListener and CoordinatedEventSource
interfaces to support events. (For more information, see CoordinatedPanel
interface description.)
- Implement DSECoordinationEvent propagation from child beans to
the parent. (For more information, see Coordinated Panel event
firing and propagation.)
- Implement the behavior of the coordinated panel for DSECoordinationEvents
that it will consume. (For more information, see Coordinated Panel
event consumption.)
