Creating CHA hierarchies

A CHA hierarchy is a set of two or more CHA contexts arranged in a tree structure. The root context has one or more child CHA contexts, these child contexts may have one or more children, and so on.

To create a CHA hierarchy:

  1. In the Editor view, select the CHA tab.
  2. From the Connection palette, select Connection.
  3. Click the parent context of the relationship. This action highlights the parent.
Note: The CHA Editor does not permit circular connections or multiple parents.
  4. Click the child context of the relationship.

Repeat the procedure until you have created the entire hierarchy. Note that the root context has a null value for its parent attribute.
