Defining an invoker

The following steps describes how to define an invoker for a presentation node to call a business process.
  1. Create an invoker for calling the business process. See Creating an invoker for detailed steps.
  2. Double-click the line that links the presentation node to the business process node. The Properties dialog of link box pops up. Since you have already defined the presentation node and the business process node, some fields are already filled with certain values.
  3. You can modify the invoker ID in the Invoker ID field.
  4. Click OK to close the dialog box and make your settings effective.
  5. The properties file and Java(TM) file of invoker will be generated.

The following figure shows an example of defining an invoker.

    Notes:
    • When you change the invoker files outside the Graphical Builder, you must keep the resource consistency.
    • When you create a new invoker in the Graphical Builder, the invoker files will be overridden.
    • If you want to restore a invoker, you must backup the invoker property files and the invoker class files.
    • Because the common way to access the EJB interface of BPEL is to access the engine of Business process, except for the invoker ID, all invokers for business process use the same JNDI, Factory, and other attributes to access business process.
