1) Be sure no java processes are running.
You can use WebSphere\AppServer\bin\stopServer.bat to stop servers.

2) IMPORTANT: Save a backup copy of the <was_root>\java directory called java_bu.
   xcopy java java_bu /E
3) Unzip cn131-20030618-rpkg-for00006.zip to <was-root>.

4) Copy all the files in java_bu\jre\lib\security\ to java\jre\lib\security\
      
5) If you have added fonts, then you will need to copy font.properties from java_bu\jre\lib 
to java\jre\lib and the fonts in your java_bu\jre\lib\fonts to the java\jre\lib\fonts directory.

6) Verify the java fullversion
   cd <was-root>\java\jre\bin
   java -fullversion
   java full version "J2RE 1.3.1 IBM Windows 32 build cn131-20030618"

NOTE: If you have both WebSphere Application Server (Base) and WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment on the same machine, please upgrade both Java SDKs.
