Updating Manual Tester Software and Documentation

You can use the Rational Product Updater to update your Manual Tester software or documentation. Updates can include additional software features, defect fixes, new documentation, and translated documentation files.

Updates can be posted to the update site any time. It is good practice to run the Product Updater periodically to check for new updates. You access the Product Updater from the Windows Start menu.
  1. If Manual Tester is running, close it.
  2. Open the Updater by clicking Start > Programs > IBM Rational > Rational Product Updater.

    The Updater opens and displays a list of the Rational products you have installed in the Installed Products tab.

  3. On the Installed Products tab, select IBM Rational Manual Tester 6.1.0.
  4. Click the Updates tab.

    Manual Tester is listed, with all the available updates listed below the product name.

  5. Select an update item in the Product list to see a description of that update in the Detailed Information box.
Checked updates are installed. All updates are checked by default. If you do not want to install an update, clear the check box next to that update. Note that updates may depend on each other, so selecting or clearing a check box might cause dependant items to be checked or unchecked.
  1. Click the Install Updates button.

    The selected items will be installed.
