Introduction

This chapter presumes that WebSphere has already been installed. Consult the Cúram Third Party Tools Installation Guide¹for details on the installation.

The configuration of WebSphere Application Server is similar on all platforms and the Server Development Environment for Java (SDEJ) provides a number of Ant targets to aid the configuration and management of the installation. For those interested, Manual WebSphere Application Server Configuration details the manual steps performed by the configuration scripts.

The configuration target provided by the SDEJ is a simple default configuration and may not be suitable for a production environment.

Note: The configure target will overwrite the default profile created by WebSphere Application Server unless -Dkeep.profile=true is passed to the target.
