As detailed in Security Configuration, the configured WebSphere Application Server for z/OS user registry is used for authentication of administrative users and the database user. The WebSphere Application Server for z/OS administrative users and the database user must be manually added to the user registry as follows.
Note: If WebSphere Application Server for z/OS administrative security was enabled when creating the profile the administrative user may already be defined in the registry.
