ZDUMP-Real-Time Manual Dump

Use this command to start a control program (CP) manual system error storage dump from a valid CRAS. The CP dump can be a selective dump, which includes only specific storage areas that are identified using the ZIDOT command, or a complete storage memory dump.

Requirements and Restrictions

None.

Format

SEL
starts a CP dump of a selected portion of system storage. The areas of storage are defined by the IDOTB macro and can be overridden using the ZIDOT command.

ALL
activates a CP dump of all permanent storage and all main storage blocks.

Attention: Use this options with extreme care. A full storage dump is time consuming and causes a large spike in system activity and resource usage when the dump ends.
