ZBUFC PINNED DISPLAY-Display Pinned Data Report

Use this command to display the pinned data report for a device attached to a 3990 record cache subsystem (RCS).

Pinned data is data in the cache or in nonvolatile storage that could not be written to the DASD surface. The pinned data report includes a description of the type of pinned data that exists.

Requirements and Restrictions

This command is only valid for 3990 RCSs.

Format




sda
is the 3- to 4-digit hexadecimal symbolic address of a device.

cccchhhh
is a an 8-digit hexadecimal pinned track starting address, where:

cccc
is a 4-digit hexadecimal cylinder number.

hhhh
is a 4-digit hexadecimal head number.

Examples

The following example displays the pinned data report for the 3990 RCS device found at the specified address.

Notice that only 8 track addresses are displayed at a time. Enter the ZBUFC PINNED DISPLAY again and specify the address marked with 2 asterisks (**) to display any pinned data tracks that exist beyond the last address.
