Figure 71 shows an example of the DBDEF statements to describe a
NAB-type file with variable-length items.

Notes:
- This example shows a NAB-type file ('IN') which contains
variable-length items.
- Each item contains a reference at location 0.
- The size of each item is in a halfword field (yyyyLEN) in each
item.
- The reference is in an item, so the ID2 parameter is specified.
- In this example ID2=(CHK0), so a record code check (RCC) of X'00'
is used by TPFDF recoup and the TPFDF capture/restore utility, information and
statistics environment (CRUISE). Therefore, the RCP parameter is not
needed.
