When a logical unit requests a session, the following sequence
occurs:
- The logical unit sends an SNA Initiate-Self command to its control point
to request a session with the application.
- The remote control point communicates with the TPF control point to
request the session.
- TPF returns a positive response, if requested.
- TPF sends an SNA BIND command built from the CDINIT to initiate the
session.
- The logical unit returns a positive response. At this point, when
necessary, message synchronization is performed.
- TPF sends an SNA Start Data Traffic (SDT) command, except for an LU
6.2 session.
At this point, data may now flow between LU session partners.
