State
The current state of the primary host machine. Possible values are:
  • Active - this machine is load balancing packets
  • Standby - this machine is not load balancing packets; it is monitoring the state of an active Load Balancer
  • Idle - this machine is load balancing packets, and is not trying to establish contact with a partner Load Balancer
  • Listen - this machine is listening for communication from a backup Load Balancer

Sub-state
The current sub-state of this machine; only applies if you have configured high availability. Possible values are:
  • Synchronized - this machine has established contact with another Load Balancer
  • Not Synchronized - this machine is trying to establish contact with another Load Balancer, but has not yet succeeded

Port number
The number of the port on which this machine is passing heartbeat messages back and forth with its partner.

Role
The role of the port. The port acts as the primary, backup or, in the case of mutual high availability, both.

Recovery Strategy
The method with which the primary machine resumes load balancing.
  • Auto - the primary machine resumes load balancing as soon as it comes back into service.
  • Manual - the primary machine acts as standby for the backup machine until you have manually forced the primary to takeover
List of heartbeats
Current list of heartbeat source addresses, the addresses of the high availability partner machines that send heartbeats, and their corresponding destination addresses where heartbeats and responses are sent.

List of reach targets
Current list of reach addresses and their state.

Note: Reach targets are only visible after they have been added.
