IBM(R) Voice Toolkit v6.0.1.1 Software Interim Fix - APAR IC53377 README CONTENTS 1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE 2.0 WHAT IS NEW IN THIS INTERIM FIX 3.0 INSTALLATION 4.0 UNINSTALLATION 5.0 NOTICES 6.0 TRADEMARKS 1.0 ABOUT THIS README FILE This README provides information about the patch available in this Interim Fix. This fix can be installed on IBM Voice Toolkit v6.0.1.1 This update is for Voice Toolkit v6.0.1.1 Windows only. 2.0 WHAT IS NEW IN THIS INTERIM FIX This interim fix is to prevent a hang in Voice Trace Analyzer tool when using a trace from server that includes the contents of PKG files. When creating a new Voice Trace Analyzer file with recognition data that includes the use of compiled PKG files, the wizard may hang during the "Compacting database" phase of the process. This fix will cause the data import task to ignore the binary PKG data in the trace log file, which is causing the problem. To apply this fix, replace the traceAnalyzer.jar file in your Voice Toolkit V6.0.1.1 installation with the one provided. The file location should be: \eclipse\plugins\com.ibm.voicetools.analysis_6.0.1 Once the file has been replaced, you will need to start the Rational SDP with the "-clean" parameter in order to force the workbench to reload the new plugin code. This parameter can be added to the "Target" field in the Properties of the object you use to launch the workbench, and should be removed after the workbench has been started. Note that the use of the "-clean" parameter will significantly increase the amount of time it takes for the workbench to start up, since it causes the workbench to reload all of the plugins that it previously cached. 3.0 INSTALLATION 3.1 Prerequisites o You must have Administrator access to update the IBM Voice Toolkit software. o It is assumed the IBM Voice Toolkit software is already installed. o Rational development environment (SDP) must be stopped prior to install ifix. 3.2 Installation Procedure This fix is delivered in these files: traceAnalyzer.jar packaged in the ifix_IC53377.zip file. 1.
