Running the Management Console from this Page for the First Time

Follow this procedure to set the permissions required to enable the Microsoft .NET Framework to download Management Console files.
After following this procedure once, you can run the Management Console by clicking the link above.
  1. Right click on this link and click "Save Target As..." on the popup menu to save the XML file containing the required permissions to your hard drive. This file is required for .NET configuration.
  2. On the Windows Start menu, click Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration.
    The .NET Configuration 1.1 window appears.
  3. In the tree, open My Computer > Runtime Security Policy > Machine > Code Groups.
  4. Under Code Groups, right-click All_Code and select New.
    The Create Code Group dialog box appears.
  5. Select Import a code group from an XML file, and browse to the file that you saved in step 1 (MCNET_Machine_CodeGroup.xml).
  6. Click Finish, and close the .NET Configuration 1.1 window.
  7. You can now run the Management Console from the link at the top of this page.
