Installation packages in this directory are intended to provide

 early fixes to problems. Although the fixes have been tested and 

 verified there may be some risk by applying them as a comprehensive 

 "system test" has not been conducted

The install packages in directory contains fixes for the following problems.
 

• APAR IY02546 - Archive directory cleanup fix for pre-V3 entries
• APAR IY02372 - VERSION 3.1.2.30 SERVER DOES NOT RECOGNIZE SONY AIT DRIVES
• APAR IY02438 - WHEN AN ERROR IS DETECTED ON A TAPE VOLUME (3570 & 3590 DRIVES), ADSM MAY NOT RELEASE THAT TAPE: THE VOLUME WILL REMAIN "IN USE"
• APAR IY01929 - 3590E SUPPORT INCORRECTLY ADDED FOR EXTERNAL LIBRARY MANAGER
• APAR IC24458 - ILLEGAL REQUEST DURING READ ELEMENT STATUS AFTER STK 9710 FIRMWARE UPGRADE
• defect 20713 - LABEL LIBVOL FAILS ON ELIANT 820 DRIVES

Both packages (IC24458.bff and IY02546.bff) must be installed.

It is recommended that these fileset updates be applied to your system but NOT committed.
