Using the Tivoli Storage Manager Administration Center with the IBM Tivoli Storage Manager V7.1 server
The IBM Tivoli Storage Manager V7.1 product package does not include the Administration Center.
To use the Administration Center with the Tivoli Storage Manager V7.1 server, install the Administration Center 6.3.4.300 interim fix (patch) release. If you install this release, you can use the Administration Center to manage the storage environment, but you cannot use the Administration Center to manage new product features that were introduced with the Tivoli Storage Manager V7.1 server. For example, you cannot use the Administration Center to manage the following features:
Alternatively, you can install the Operations Center V7.1 to help you manage a Tivoli Storage Manager V7.1 storage environment. The Operations Center is included in the Tivoli Storage Manager V7.1 product package. The Operations Center provides web and mobile access to status information about the Tivoli Storage Manager environment. You can use the Operations Center to monitor multiple servers and complete some administrative tasks. The interface also provides web access to the Tivoli Storage Manager command line.
