When you install the warehouse server with DB2 Universal Database on Windows NT or Windows 2000, a default agent is installed. If you require a warehouse agent that is remote from the warehouse server, you can install another warehouse agent using the DB2 Warehouse Manager.
Your warehouse server and all of your warehouse agents must be at the Version 7 level.
Before you install any DB2 Version 7 warehouse agents, you must remove any warehouse agents from Visual Warehouse Version 5.2 or earlier that are located on that workstation.
Warehouse agents are available for the Windows NT, Windows 2000, OS/2, AIX, AS/400, and OS/390 operating systems, and for the Solaris Operating Environment. When you install warehouse agents on Windows NT, Windows 2000, OS/2, AIX, and the Solaris Operating Environment, the Data Warehouse Center ODBC drivers and driver manager are also installed.
