Installing the Information Catalog Administrator component

To install the Information Catalog Administrator component (separately from the Information Catalog Manager Tools component) on any Windows 32-bit operating systems (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows 2000):

1. Insert the DB2 Universal Database CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. The launchpad opens.
2. Click Install from the launchpad.
3. In the Select Products window, select either the DB2 Enterprise Edition Server check box (or the DB2 Enterprise - Extended Edition Server check box, if appropriate) or the DB2 Administrative Client check box, then click Next.
4. In the Select Type of Install window, click Custom, then click Next.
5. In the Select DB2 Components window, select the check box for the Data Warehousing tools component, then click Subcomponents.
6. In the Select Subcomponents window, select the check box for the Information Catalog Administrator subcomponent.
7. Click Continue to return to the Select DB2 Components window, then click Next to continue the installation program.
8. When the installation program completes, install the Information Catalog Manager Tools component from the Warehouse Manager CD-ROM and run the information catalog initialization utility (if you have not done so already). See Installing the Information Catalog Manager Tools component for more information.
