Downloading DUMPWRITE using file transfer protocol from a TSO command line
|
To download DMPWRITE or DMPWRIT2 directly to your z/OS or OS/390 Host using file transfer protocol:
The instructions below do not include steps which may be necessary to pass through
a firewall or proxy server.
- From the TSO READY: prompt enter: ftp ftp.software.ibm.com
- At the USER: prompt, enter: anonymous
- At the password prompt, enter: your_internet_address (i.e. your_user_id@company.com)
- At the Command: prompt, enter: cd s390/mvs/tools/dmpwrite
- At the Command: prompt, enter: bin
- At the Command: prompt, enter: locsite recfm=fb lrecl=80 blksize=3120
- At the Command: prompt, enter:
get dmpwrite 'YOUR.LOCAL.DSN'
or
get dmpwrit2 'YOUR.LOCAL.DSN'
- At the Command: prompt, enter: quit
